Carcassonne Builders and Traders

Carcassonne: Builders & Traders is an expansion for the acclaimed and award-winning tile-laying game Carcassonne. This expansion introduces 24 new tiles and cardboard pieces, representing items such as wine, cloth, and wheat, which players will obtain by placing followers on tiles with their respective icons. The world of trade is coming to Carcassonne!

This is the second expansion for Carcassonne, and like all expansions for this game, the different options it offers can be used in a modular fashion, using only those that interest the players. In addition to the new tiles, Builders and Traders includes cardboard tokens representing wheat, cloth, and wine, which can be obtained by placing followers on tiles that include these icons and closing cities with those tiles. At the end of the game, each player scores 10 victory points for each type of item they have the majority of. Another new addition are the builder meeples, which, if placed on a city or road under construction, allow the player who places a tile on that city or road to play an additional tile. Finally, the pigs increase the value of the farms they belong to by four points per city.

With this second expansion for Carcassonne, the game gains significant strategic depth. The use of the builder, in particular, increases the possibilities for combining plays, and the materials obtained from completing cities greatly enhance player interaction. A new dimension for one of the best modern board games!

• 24 new pieces of land (9 with wine, 6 with grain, 5 with cloth and 4 without any commercial product)
• 20 commercial product markers (9 wine, 6 grain, and 5 fabric) that are placed next to the score marker
• 12 new followers in 6 colors (1 pig and 1 builder for each player)
• 1 cloth bag (for territory pieces)
