Tournament Policy

Registration for Weekly Events.

Starting in August, our customers will have the option to pay for weekly event registration using store credit . This credit can be redeemed for any product available at Tienda La Comarca. Here are the most relevant details:

  • Event Dates and Times:
    • Monday to Friday from 7:30 p.m. until closing time (unless otherwise indicated, depending on the community).
    • Weekends : Events to be announced in advance on our official channels (social media, WhatsApp groups, Discord, website).
  • Types of Events:
    • Demos: Activities to teach how to play different games that the store sells and/or distributes.
    • Casual Tournaments: Events held throughout the week, with the aim of having fun and sharing with new players, thus expanding communities in the healthiest way possible.
    • Weekly Leagues : Weekly league-style events that are normal in nature, with some healthy competition within the community.
    • Premium or Competitive Tournaments : Competitive events, where the prizes are higher, in some cases, qualifying for important events, where good handling of the rules of each game is expected.
  • Sign Up with Store Credit:
    • Customers can use their accumulated store credit to pay for registration for these events. (Paying registration with store credit does NOT accrue Comarca Points.)
    • Store credit can be redeemed for any product in our store, offering flexibility to our customers.
    • Additionally, anyone with the highest score in each game of the month (sum of all events and tournaments) will receive a special gift and will be named the store's Player of the Month. They will also be automatically invited to the store's annual event. (This event is by invitation only.)

Our store's values ​​that apply to our events are as follows:

  1. Mutual Respect :
    • All players must treat others with respect and courtesy.
    • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
  2. Cleanliness and Order :
    • Players must keep their playing area clean and pick up their trash.
    • Store furniture and equipment must be taken care of.
  3. Appropriate Language :
    • Appropriate language must be used at all times.
    • Avoid the use of offensive, rude or vulgar language.
  4. Honesty in the Game :
    • All players are expected to play fairly and honestly.
    • Any form of cheating or unsportsmanlike behavior will result in penalties.
  5. Compliance with Rules :
    • Players must follow the official game rules and those specific to the store.
    • Any dispute must be reported to store staff for resolution.

Security Policies

  1. Care of Belongings :
    • Players are responsible for their belongings.
    • The store is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal items.
  2. Use of Equipment and Spaces :
    • Shop equipment must be used properly and with care.
    • The use of unauthorized equipment is not permitted without staff permission.
  3. Prohibition of Prohibited Substances :
    • The consumption of alcohol, drugs, or any prohibited substances is not permitted inside the store.

Event and Tournament Policies

  1. Registration and Punctuality :
    • Players must register on time and show up punctually for events.
    • Unjustified delays may result in disqualification.
  2. Awards and Recognitions :
    • Prizes will be awarded as established in the event rules.
    • Any attempt at fraud in claiming prizes will be penalized.
    • Misuse of accumulated store credits or regional points is prohibited; this may result in the loss of all benefits from our loyalty program.
  3. Behavior During Events :
    • Players must follow the instructions of the event organizer.
    • Sportsmanship and respectful behavior are expected throughout the event.

Additional Policies

  1. Feedback and Suggestions :
    • Players can provide suggestions and feedback to store staff.
    • Constructive feedback will be valued to improve the in-store experience.
  2. Consequences for Non-Compliance :
    • Violations of these policies will result in warnings, suspensions, or expulsions, depending on the severity.
    • Recurrence of negative behavior will have more severe consequences.
